  Mother loved music. She played the piano from an early age, began playing the organ in midlife and even tried a bit of accordian. When we cleaned house, just before it was sold, we found stacks of sheet music. She sang in the choir at First United Church in Hamilton and was organist for Hubert Temple, Pythian Sisters, Hamilton, Ontario for many years.She even sang "I Love You Truly" on the radio, back in the late 30's. Mother spent most of July and August at the cottage at Port Maitland, Ontario, where she loved to swim in the warm waters of Lake Erie. -Helen Ferguson-Root
